अक्षरं परमं ब्रह्म ज्योतीरूपं सनातनम्।
गुणातीतं निराकारं स्वेच्छामयमनन्तजम्॥
कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन।
मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भुर्मा ते संगोऽस्त्वकर्मणि॥

WHORL :: It is associated with creativity, independence, determination and originality unaffected by convention or opposition. It is a point of intensification and is the mark of the individualist. It usually means a leader or a non-conformist who holds strong personal views and often denotes success, particularly when seen on the index and or ring finger. The whorl is normally found on the forth finger. There are whorls which at times resemble spiral or shells and the second type are concentric circles. The difference lies in the case that the spiral whorls are very closely arranged on the palm. People with whorls are known to take more time to be trained but once trained, they respond as if by instinct.
Whorls are governed by air. Whorls look like spirals or bull’s eyes. Two tri radii support each whorl. Principles of air are distance, detachment and communication. If one has many whorls, then one is like a the tree that stands in the desert, independent, original and an individualist. He observes, analyse and prefers to work alone.
Whorls can be categorised into Spiral Whorl and Target-the Bulls eye Whorl, etc.
Plain Whorl :- These have deltas which a look like a full spiral.
The Central Pocket Whorl :- These are seen as deltas that curve twice with each other.
The Double Loop-Spiral and Target Whorls-Peacock's Eye :: These two are identical in shape but differ in whorl patterns. The areas found in between the deltas have to be taken when producing fingerprints. The both carry the same usual meanings, but the Spiral will be less intense. The Peacock's Eye, which is a whorl enclosed in a loop, adds luck, protection and penetrating perception. One or more delta formation is observed (-an area of low, flat land, sometimes shaped like a triangle, where a river divides into several smaller rivers before flowing into the sea) at the center of the finger tip. A a slight curve make the delta look as if it is winding up.
The Accidental Whorl Pattern :- This pattern is very rare. It has two delta patterns as distinguishing features.

Whorls on all fingers :: One is easy to rebel when he believe something is wrong. He has no patience in his life. He has a desire to be self-sufficient and independent. Due to his individualistic nature, he do not like to be counted as a member of a group. He always want to be original and not like everyone else. His individualistic nature makes him unable to mix well with others. He will have a relationship with other people at an individual level. He address individuals in the group rather than a whole group. In general terms he is great lovers of solitude. This behaviour of solitude will lead to the development of a sense of being segregated. He will have originality of thought but will be suspicious in nature. He is secretive in nature and do not want to share his plans to others. He may suffer heart problems. Whorl on the Jupiter finger :: One will get benefit from his friends and he may be master in occult science. One's opinions are formed with a lot of clarity. He has fixed attitudes. He prefer to be bosses of his own businesses. He enjoy self-employment. If that is not the case, he would then prefer to hold positions of influence and autonomy. He do not like to be referred to other people. He has clear expressions in terms of getting a large portion of freedom. He do not like to be treated as subordinate, he can come across as being rather arrogant. He likes to be at the centre of every thing in life.
This behaviour makes him very hard to move on with. He stubborn when one forces him to do what he think is not under his control. He has some form of respect for people in society. When he make up his mind, he is very swift in adapting to the new events in his life. That is because he has not tied to a single way of doing things. He can only obey laws and rules if they are to his advantage. If the laws do not have negative effects in life then he is likely to adjust accordingly.
People with plenty of whorls on their hands have a tendency to reject society’s perspective and instead live on their own plane life. These people will have their own believe system and many other strange aspects. Due to their own opinions, they can be self-preoccupied as well as lonely. You can easily differentiate them from the rest in the society by their possession of their unique but original talents. The whorl's on both thumbs this is a mark of being an individualistic person.

Whorls on Middle-Saturn Finger :: One has great ideas & is philosophic in life. He can carry out original research in the world. He has great faith and commitments to religion bordering on being unorthodox.
Whorls on Fourth-Sun finger :: The whorl is normally found on this finger. It shows gain from public contact. The possessor is highly selective when talking about ideas on happiness and beauty. He is known to follow his mind and do not care whether his ideas are too unorthodox. He do not leave his approaches just because some section of the society dislike them.
Whorls on Little-Mercury Finger :: One gains from ready made goods. He is a perfectionist in all undertakings in life. He is highly organised and can do all it takes to succeed. When he is moved by what is happening, he can deliver some of the best speeches in the world.
